November 17, 2017   6pm to 10pm

The CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches students how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies for victims about 12 years and older. Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Adult CPR/AED valid for two years.

November 18-19, 2017   9am to 1pm
Designed for scouts and scout leaders, outdoor enthusiasts and anyone who works or spends time in remote environments, this course teaches advanced skills to be used in emergencies when help from professional first responders may be far away. Based on the Boy Scouts of America Wilderness First Aid Curriculum and Doctrine Guidelines, this course aligns with OSHA's Best Practices for Workplace First Aid Training Programs.
Prerequisites: Must be at least 14 years old and hold current adult CPR/AED certification.

2 Year Certification

Topics include:
  • Primary and Secondary Assessments
  • Head/Brain, Neck and Spinal Injuries
  • Heat-Related Emergencies
  • Hypothermia
  • Altitude-Related Illnesses
  • Allergies and Anaphylaxis
  • Burns
  • Bone and Joint Injuries
  • Wounds and Wound Infection

COLD WEATHER TRAINING
DECEMBER 2, 2017


NO WALK INS !!!
Open to all Scouts, Venturers, Explorers, and Adult Leaders.
Two deep leadership is required for all youth. 
  • Lunch will be provided along with Hot Chocolate and Hot Coffee.
  • Indoor Classes  
  • Uniforms not required

Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO)

December  9-10, 2017

Camp Scouthaven – Saari Lodge Cabin
ALL NEW COURSE FORMAT
This one-and-a-half day course is designed as an introduction to the Cub Scout outdoor program for leaders interested in adding a camping component to their Pack activities. BALOO training consists of an online pre-requisite component in addition to an overnight hands on practical. BSA's Cub Scout level camping policies will be taught along with the discovery of the necessary tools to help units carry our a successful camping experience.
Completion of this course is mandatory for a MINIMUM OF ONE adult on a Pack overnighter.
